Born Guilty
On 12 May 2026, Twisha Sharma, 33, was found hanging in her matrimonial home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills. The FIR named her husband and mother-in-law on allegations of dowry harassment.
New CCTV footage and claims by a Bhopal salon owner have added fresh questions to the investigation into Twisha Sharma’s death at her in-laws’ home.

Nearly two weeks after Twisha Sharma was found dead at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal, fresh claims surrounding CCTV footage from a beauty salon she visited shortly before her death have added a new dimension to the investigation.
The footage, which has now surfaced online, allegedly shows Twisha spending close to three hours at a parlour on May 12, the day she later died. But beyond the visuals themselves, investigators may now also have to examine claims made by the salon owner regarding attempts to access the footage soon after the incident.

Twisha’s death has already triggered allegations of dowry harassment and mental torture from her family, who have accused her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, of subjecting her to sustained abuse.

Salon owner Kiran Parihar claimed Twisha arrived at the parlour around 3:12 PM on May 12 and left sometime around 6:15 PM after undergoing a head massage and pedicure.
According to Parihar, Twisha appeared composed during the visit and behaved as she normally did during her earlier appointments at the salon, where she was reportedly a regular customer.
Parihar further alleged that the morning after the incident, Giribala Singh contacted the salon and enquired repeatedly about Twisha’s visit, including the exact timings and whether any payment record existed.
She claimed Twisha had not paid that day because she was already using a prepaid package purchased earlier during a family function.
The salon owner also alleged that Giribala Singh later asked specifically for the CCTV footage after informing her that Twisha had died by suicide.
In another claim that has now drawn attention online, Parihar said a group of unidentified individuals dressed in black-and-white attire resembling lawyers arrived at the salon claiming they had come on behalf of police authorities to collect the footage.
She said a technician was later called to extract the recordings.
Separate claims have also emerged suggesting that CCTV technician Rohit Vishwakarma visited Giribala Singh’s residence late on the night of May 12.
Twisha Sharma was found hanging at her in-laws’ home in Bhopal on May 12.
Her husband Samarth Singh, who had allegedly remained missing for nearly 10 days after the incident, was arrested from Jabalpur on Friday and brought back to Bhopal early Saturday.
Police have not yet publicly commented on the latest claims linked to the salon footage.
